Equine Acupuncture & Bodywork

Will has a Diploma in Equine Acupuncture and is continuously refining bodywork techniques from various modalities.

Given that the horses (like us) are all made up of energy, sometimes there can be blockages for different reasons and this is where Bodywork and Acupuncture come into play.  Some of the benefits are:

• Stimulate the release of pain, relieving and reducing inflammation
• Relax muscles, creating both local and more generalised relief
• Improve blood flow to tissues and enhance oxygenation
• Remove metabolic waste and toxins
• Promote physical and emotional wellbeing
• Relieve anxiety
• Boost the horses' immune system

 
Depending upon the condition of the horse, more than one or two sessions maybe required.  Usually it is best to allow 2-3 days for the horse to rest after a treatment before working or riding again.

Coaching

Will coaches people to be confident with all aspects of horsemanship including:

• Groundwork
• Liberty
• In hand with your horse
• Establishing safe boundaries
• Obstacles
• Riding techniques

The concept is to gain a better understanding of movement, in harmony and without force, to achieve the full potential of each individual horse.

The aim is for the rider and horse to develop a more relaxed and connected style that will benefit the horse long term.

As a result, a confident and willing horse to ride out and about is achieved.

Horse Handling / Float Training

Have you ever had the frustration of having to cancel going somewhere with your horse just because he/she wouldn't load onto the float?

It doesn't have to be that way and Will can assess your horse and how he/she is with you and work with you to show you what you need to do to calmly load the horse and have the horse do this for you time and time again.

It may not be "loading onto the float" that is the issue and this is where Will is able to analyse the situation and assist with what needs to be addressed.
